Glenn Mackintosh is the Principal Psychologist at Weight Management Psychology. He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and Queensland Board of Psychologists, and a fellow of the Obesity Prevention and Treatment Society.
After completing study at the University of Queensland, where he received joint Honours in Psychology and Human Movement Studies, the Dean’s commendation for high achievement several times, and finished with a current GPA of 7, Glenn was awarded his Master of Psychology.
Glenn’s research looked at how psychological and social factors effected weight management. During research, he developed the “Personal Motivation for Weight Management Scale”, which was significantly predicted weight loss outcome.Also involved in teaching, Glenn has supervised, lectured, and guest lecturer in weight management psychology, health psychology, self-esteem and motivation, sport and exercise psychology, performance psychology, and the psychology of injury, at the University of Queensland, Griffith University, and the Australian College of Applied Psychology.
